Late one evening, after traipsing through the jungles of the Colombian Amazon for several hours, I returned to my cabin to find this Tailless Whip Scorpion getting changed in my bathroom. Naturally, I pulled out my camera and started taking photos of it.
While this might look like an albino version of a regular Tailless Whip Scorpion, this is just what they look like freshly after moulting. They’re only like this for a very short time, and within a few hours they’ll be back to their usual brown!
