It must be really frustrating when you’re trying so hard to blend into the furniture, and then a large monkey comes and shoves a camera in your face.
This Boa Constrictor was so carefully camouflaged when I came across it that I did a double-take on my way to breakfast one morning here at Manu Biological Station. While fully grown adults can reach up to three metres in length, this juvenile is still very much vulnerable to predators, so it pays to stay well-hidden!
