In another post, we told the story of Harold and how the Hermit Crabs got their shells. But I just couldn’t get enough of these adorable crustaceans, so I’ve put together a little Hermit Crab beauty pageant. There are ten contestants who have all put on their very best shells for you.

You can let us know who your favourite is if you like, but we won’t be announcing the results of the contest – because they’re all winners to us ❤️ (except for Carlos – stop destroying the planet Carlos)

1. Gerald is sporting a bumpy grey and white shell and likes long walks on the beach.

2. Sophie has opted for a curvy, speckled cone shell and enjoys spending time with her dogs.

3. Amelie is wearing a white and orange ridged shell and is working on her plans for global domination.

4. Boris has an elegant, blue and white cone shell and relaxes with a manicure every Friday.

5. Fatima has chosen a simple white bumpy shell and is training for an ultramarathon.

6. Isabelle selected a gorgeous multicoloured ridged shell and is fresh out of prison after completing a seven year sentence for armed robbery.

7. Thor decided upon a white spiral shell and describes himself as an introvert that spends a lot of time reading.

8. Muhammad picked out a rugged burgundy cone shell and wants to be an astronaut.

9. Olga is dressed in a pale blue broad-brimmed shell and is on her way to the races.

10. Carlos has gone for a black and white bumpy shell and is a mining executive at Woodside Petroleum.
