One night we headed out to Mt Hypipamee National Park in Queensland’s far north to search for wildlife, and we found an abundance. From sunbaking lizards and camouflaged frogs, to beautiful snakes and curious possums – plus an elusive tree kangaroo thrown in for good measure! Despite all these wonderful creatures, my favourite image of the night was this one. As we were driving back through the Atherton Tablelands in the early hours of the morning, we noticed this gorgeous low-lying fog being illuminated by the full moon. Photographed with a 20 second exposure to create a silky look to the upper clouds, and topped off with Jupiter shining through just left of centre, this nightscape was the perfect end to an exceptional evening of exploration.
